About our Founder

Louise’s journey in yachting started when she joined in 2014. During her time as a seafarer, she took on various roles, including Spa Manager, New Build Spa Manager as well as carrying out Spa Consultancy Projects. Drawing on her prior experience as Spa Manager and International Skin Care Trainer, as well as expertise in setting up worldwide distribution companies, she was able to seamlessly transfer these skills into Super Yachts.

Having worked on yachts ranging from 50m to 136m, Louise noticed the environmental challenges that the industry faces, particularly in terms of recycling and reducing single-use plastics. She also noticed how the difficulty of provisioning in different countries highlighted the need for easily accessible, quality brands/ products.

Louise felt that even small changes on a yacht could make a big difference. This idea flourished into Blue Ocean Yacht Supplies. She hopes to encourage yachts to remove single use plastic products and choose eco-friendly alternatives with our guidance and knowledge. Louise is dedicated to sharing knowledge and skills by providing spa products, training and consultancy services to yachts looking to enhance their onboard spa experiences while also implementing sustainable practises.

At Blue Ocean we pride ourselves in working with brands that are eco-friendly and reef-safe, minimising harm to our ocean and allowing vessels to explore oceans more sustainably.

Green Coral and Fish

How do we contribute to Marine Pollution?

  • Did you know every time you wash up with a regular sponge you contribute to micro-plastics in the ocean, this leads to fish engulfing plastic, even if they do survive it goes up the food chain.

  • Single use plastics are found deep in our oceans killing marine mammals, turtles and birds.

  • A plastic toothbrush can take over 400 years to decompose.

  • Chemicals in sunscreen can kill coral reef. The coral absorbs chemicals that can disrupt the growth cycle causing bleaching.

At Blue Ocean we pride ourselves in working with brands that are eco-friendly and reef-safe, minimising harm to our ocean and allowing vessels to explore oceans more sustainably.
